Hello! You found the new Artificer Foundries website. Pull up a stool. Mind the sparks.
Our old site looked like a museum plate from 1850: beautiful, very serious, and full of ciphers. This one is a toy box. Everything moves, most things squeak, and almost anything you poke pokes you back.
Meet Pivot
The little fellow walking around the page is Pivot. He used to be the "A" in our logo. One day he hopped out, and he only goes back for naps.
- His legs are a pair of drafting dividers.
- His arms are the A's crossbar.
- His head is a gear, and his one glowing eye is a compass star.
He's eager, a bit clumsy and very proud of our games. He doesn't say much. He'd rather show you.
Forty Sparks
Hidden all over the site are 40 Sparks, little flame creatures that escaped from Cinder, our forge. Every time you find a secret, one of them flies into the Spark Jar in the corner of your screen.
Click the jar any time to see what you've found. Missing Sparks show up as empty outlines with a gentle hint, so you always know there's more out there.
How to hunt (without spoilers)
We promised we'd never make you read a manual, so here is the whole manual:
- Poke things. If it looks touchable, it probably is.
- Try the obvious. Most Sparks take one thing a curious person would try anyway.
- Type words. Some words do things when you type them. No box needed. Just type.
- Stuck? Wait a bit. If you go a while without finding anything, Pivot wanders over and points.
On a phone? Every trick has a touch version: tap, long-press, swipe, tilt or shake.
Please don't post a full list of answers. Or do, we can't stop you. But the hunt is the fun part, and Pivot will be very disappointed in you.
Your progress lives in your own browser. There's no account, no sign-up and nothing to buy. To move your jar to another device, open Settings (the gear at the top of the page) and copy your save code.
What's next
Games are the main event here, so head to the Games page to see what we're making, or play a quick round in the Arcade. We'll write here when there's news, and sometimes when there isn't.
Happy hunting!
